Owen Stone

Owen Stone heads operations and client teams at Stu Loeser & Co. Strategy, providing counsel, strategy and talent development.

Owen is an experienced public affairs specialist with expertise in media relations, policy development, project and team management and research. Previously, Owen advised mayors’ offices across the country on how to promote efforts to increase equity in their cities and helped develop a framework for high-performing government that was adopted by the International City Manager Association.

Owen spent 12 years in various high-visibility communications roles in the Bloomberg Administration, including eight years as the press secretary for the city’s Department of Finance. He also served as the director of the Mayor’s Research Office and as the national research team co-lead for the Mike Bloomberg 2020 presidential campaign.

Owen holds an MPA from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University and earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from SUNY University at Albany.
